15 The basis for the new BlackBerry user in mind

So no wonder many people move to the BB for being helpful in communicating and relating. Now, many of the new BB users move from other brands of mobile phone or PDA, so of course require adaptation of the ‘workings’ BB. This fair occurs when switching from one system to another are different.

Well, if you are including a new BB user, there are 15 basic things you should know about the device that is now a ‘partner’ you are.

There are two types of service that is BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) and BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). No need to be confused about this service. 5. BIS variety of services:

  • BIS unlimited; all BIS services include browsing, push mail, chat (YM, GTalk, MSN, AOL) and social networking (Facebook for BlackBerry, Twitter for BlackBerry) passed to APN Backberry.net and all these services can be accessed much as you like after paying subscription fee at no extra charge.
  • Lite bis (bis mail); is cheaper than the unlimited BIS, the current facility just push mail and BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Services for browsing and other purposes that require an internet connection will be in-charge separated (cut pulse).
  • Bus gaul; also cheaper than the unlimited BIS, which is active only chat facilities and social networking and there is no push mail. Services for browsing and other purposes that require an internet connection will also be in-charge separated (cut pulse).

5. BB can be used as a modem for PC and Mac. All the data access fees be charged at prevailing rate for BIS tariff is only valid for use on handheld BB internet only.


7. What to do after buying a new BB:

  • Insert the SIM card
  • Enable BB
  • Enable BIS services to mobile operators
  • Restart BB
  • When active, please use the service as necessary, is completed.

8. Indicators that the BB service is already active and ready to use is on the upper right corner, there are indications that cellular service using all capital letters, for example, GPRS, EDGE, 3G or CDMA 1X for.   • Fill in Your Name field with your full name

One thing to remember, most beginners do not fill in Your Name field so that when sending an email, recipients do not appear on the sender’s name, only his email address appears alone.

10. To find information about BB you use, press simultaneously the following three buttons: ALT, Aa and H.

11. Creating and sending SMS and MMS messages:

  • Go to Messages
  • Press the menu button (the symbol BB)
  • Select Compose SMS or MMS Compose
  • Type the message
  • When finished, press the menu, choose Send to send the message.

12. The number of emails that can be pushed to the BB is as many as 10 email accounts, plus an email@operator.blackberry.com account (where the operator is the name of your cellular operator BIS).

13. To reset / restart the BB there are two ways. Hard reset by remove battery for a few moments and plug in again. Soft reset by pressing three buttons simultaneously follows: ALT (left), Aa (right) and DEL.

14. BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is a specialized messaging service BB. Petrol works based on the PIN. To add a new friend on the fuel, other than using a PIN, you can also use email addresses to the BB-push your colleagues are.
