The method that we provide will give you access to rot on the application. Not access the ROM and change to a custom ROM on the device, if what you desire to change ROM reader, might be a little patient until a custom ROM for this device is available.

Here are the steps:

  1. Download the following files and change its name to “update.zip”
  2. Vibrant on the phone, go to Settings > Applications > USB Settings > and select Mass Storage.
  3. Vibrant Connect your phone to the computer, then called as a mass storage device by selecting an existing section on the top of the phone screen.
  4. Now move on to the computer, make sure that there is a new drive is detected. Now we are looking for Internal Storage, rather than external, make sure that when we opened the drive is no Avatar that will migrate into it ..
  5. Copy (do drag and drop) files to internal storage update.zip
  6. Turn off the phone
  7. Hold down the volume up until Vibrant phone lights up, this step will bring us into recovery mode
  8. To navigate the Recovery section use the volume keys for flipping, and use the power button to select (SELECT). Select ‘Reinstall Packages “
  9. Once installed, the phone will reboot, and will gain superuser access the app, as the installed Busybox.
  10. So we’ve managed to do the Root!

Very easy is not it? Now we do not have to wait for the official release of the OTA update to update Froyo on this phone.
