Originally, Facebook seems relaxed faced claims of a man who claimed 84 percent of the shares entitled to the social networking site. But Facebook also recently filed a resistance.
As quoted Twitteling from Reuters, Wednesday (14/07/2010), a judge in New York has ordered the blocking of Facebook’s transfer of assets as a result of the lawsuit filed by a man named Paul Ceglia.
Through his lawyer, Facebook will propose the cancellation of the decision. “The order from the judge that would not affect our ability to do business. But we believe it does not have legal support and we have proposed that the decision was overturned,” said Barry Schnitt, Director of Corporate Communications & Public Policy at Facebook.
Paul Ceglia filed a lawsuit on Facebook with the claim that he is entitled to 84 percent stake in the company. It begins from a contract signed by Ceglia himself and Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder.
