Driving-Twitter

Want to continue to monitor Twitter updates, but while driving a vehicle? Relax, soon the driver can enjoy this site microblogging 140 characters safely.

Yes, the Ford car company is currently designing a hands-free technology that is able to read a Tweet and recognize the voice to choose a specific song on the MP3 player.

AppLink named technology is available to the owners of the iPhone and the BlackBerry. The driver could only hear an update later Tweet without being able to reply or respond to prevent the dangers of cell phone use while driving.

This technology was created after a research on hazards due to lack of driver concentration carried out by researchers from Virginia Tech Transportation Institute in the United States.

The researchers found that as many as 80 percent of traffic accidents happen because the driver’s concentration shattered in just seconds.

Ford’s SYNC system claims to be providing security to let the driver focus on driving. “Through continuous improvement, Ford will continue to lead in controlling voice on the vehicle,” says Ford America President Mark Fields.

“We will make SYNC more intuitive and easy to use so the driver can stay focused on driving,” he added.

Quoted by Twitteling from Bignews Network, Tuesday (07/27/2010), this new technology plan will be present in England in 2011 before the introduction in other countries.
