In an interview with Reuters, RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis, explained that every BlackBerry customer data has been encrypted for security. Like most products that use data in general internet access.

“It (should) not only issues about the BlackBerry only. If (the state block) can not be tolerant with the Internet, they should be turned off (the Internet) only,” Lazaridis said sarcastically.
