Although 3D technology is still new in the consumer segment, but it seems we will soon see more gadgets that can do 3D without forcing the user to wear special glasses.
Recently manufacturers from China Rockchip tablets exhibiting a prototype device that can display video and 3D images without requiring special glasses.
Unfortunately, details about the tablet, dubbed Supernova X1 is currently difficult to obtain. So specific about how to output 3D device actually works is also not known. Thus Engadget reported on Friday (27/08/2010).
However other reports say that Supernova X1 will require video to be processed with a particular software to produce 3D effects.
This report goes on to compare the Nintendo device tablet Rockchip 3DS that will let users adjust the 3D effect on or off altogether.
According to news circulating, this tablet will be on display at the IFA electronics celebration, in Berlin, September. However, Rockchip reluctant to disclose more about those plans.
