G Mail Google testing Gmail via a phone callGoogle likely will issue a new feature for Gmail users pampering. Internet giants are known are doing tests for specific features that allow users make phone calls through the electronic mail service.

Google’s Gmail will transform into the communications center by adding the ability to make phone calls from Google Chat interface.

CNET, Thursday (26/08/2010) launched this feature will be launched from the Google Chat window in the lower left side of the Gmail page and allows users to receive calls from within their contact through an interface similar to that used on the Google Voice.


Google has lead to develop such features for some time past. The long journey has seen since Google launched Google Talk years ago as a VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) client desktop, other than that Google has also developed the Google Voice, a service that allows users to have one phone number that rings on several phones.

However not yet known whether these features will become a separate service and replace google Voice will only be a complement or Gmail. As we all know Google Voice service is not a VoIP service, so this possibility will only be a complement to Gmail.

“Google is always testing new features and products, but we are not specific to announce right now,” said a Google representative
