Not forever tech Global Positioning System (GPS) is used only to provide direction and find a location somewhere. Now, the GPS features available on the iPhone is also able to find and bring together both gay men.
This application named Grindr using a GPS system to let users see a list of gay men in the vicinity where he is located. Not only that, this application capable of displaying the identity and physical characteristics such as height, weight, age, background and photos male.
“This new technology has proven to be hits in countries which have many homosexual community,” said developer Grindr, Joel Simkhai. “This program can solve a major problem because it is easy for someone to be able to find other gay men,” he added.
A former editor of Gay portal in New Zealand, Matt Akersten, said that already there are hundreds of local gay men who enable this application.
“When you are in a strange place and confusion to find a friend (gay-ed). Just activate it and once the application is able to find people like you,” said Matt.
