Apple rival Microsoft to be the main priority at this time. The CEO, Steve Ballmer revealed that his company was working hard to create a tablet computer that can tackle the rate of iPad.

The successor to the throne mentioned by Bill Gates, Microsoft in developing computer-style tablets are working closely with a number of prominent hardware vendors like Hewlett-Packard (HP), Lenovo, Asus, Dell and Toshiba.

“We have to make this happen on the tablet of Windows 7. This should hasten it and work hard with our partners,” Ballmer said in a meeting held at the headquarters of Microsoft, as quoted by the Telegraph Twitteling, Saturday (31/07/2010) .

“If you’re ready later, that product will be shipped immediately. We want to deliver product that consumers actually want,” he added.

Microsoft would form a special team to work on a new tablet computer prototypes that are now heavily guarded and highly confidential.

On the same occasion, Microsoft also reiterated Courier will not continue the project, namely the project of cultivating a computer tablet that was mentioned earlier will be competing with the iPad and has been leaked on YouTube.

Ballmer reasoned, Courier is only one of many ideas Microsoft and no plans to make at that time.
