Sony reportedly set up a PSP a smartphone, which is a cross between a handheld device and PSP Go.
Other news also mentions this gadget will be based Android operating system, and Sony introduced the PSP will launch this smartphone in early October 2010.
“Crossing that will shape the PSP can be like a slider smartphone with additional landscape qwerty keyboard, as a substitute for the joystick on the PSP Go earlier,” explained Joshua Topolsky of Engadget, TG Daily quoted, Thursday (08/12/2010).
Added Topolsky, PSP smartphone may have a large screen, which is described as between 3.7 and 4.1-inch WVGA or better resolution. 5 megapixel camera installation will probably happen, but they are not final, and likely will have a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
“In addition to the existing games, the PSP this smartphone will also support 3D games, this means the Android operating system is very fitting for him,” he added.
If Sony was smart to bring mobile games this year, of course welcomed by various circles. Marin Perez from IntoMobile express the same sentiment.
“The move could be a major boost for Sony Ericsson, such as mobile gaming market will only grow faster and Android is also getting traction,” said Perez.
“Rumor says the device will be placed under the Xperia brand, but I think that would be a mistake,” he added.
Actually, more than three years PSP smartphone speculation related, it seems like it will never exist and now it might happen.
