This version of AutoCAD, the software one of the most widely used for design and engineering professionals, running on Mac OS X and hardware will increase choice for millions of users around the world.
In addition Autodesk AutoCAD WAS also provides mobile application, a new application for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that allows users to edit and share their AutoCAD designs in the field.
AutoCAD for Mac will be available commercially within the next few months in North America and Europe, as well as offering free for students and teachers around the world through the Autodesk Education Community. Autodesk realizes the popularity of the Mac platform among students that provides AutoCAD for the Mac so that students can develop expertise with access to the same software used by design professionals every day.

More than 5000 consumers also helped develop this product through our beta program and they are very pleased to have the original Mac version of AutoCAD as an option , “said senior vice president of Autodesk Platform Solutions and Emerging Business Amar Hanspal, in his official statement on Friday (03/09/2010).
“The combination of this new version of AutoCAD and AutoCAD for developing the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is a big step in the effort to accelerate Autodesk’s design and make design more accessible to more people again so they can shape the world around them,” he added.
AutoCAD for Mac has an intuitive look familiar to Mac users and to optimize the many features and functions of the full power of AutoCAD for consumers who choose to work with a Mac. AutoCAD for Mac to take full advantage of Mac OS X, including graphics of cruise design files with Cover Flow and Multi-Touch use of movement on a notebook Mac, Magic Magic Mouse and Trackpad for pan and zoom features intuitive. User experience design patterns, such as a visual approach to drawing and design management, has also been added into AutoCAD for the Mac.
With native support for the creation and editing files in the DWG file format, AutoCAD for Mac also offers an easy collaboration with suppliers, customers, clients and partners without having to pay attention to the platform used. AutoCAD files created with earlier versions can be opened without the constraints in AutoCAD for Mac, enhance productivity by reducing the time translation files and cleaning up data that has been converted. Value for Mac AutoCAD further enhanced with API (application programming interface), a broad and flexible choice of settings that allow for tailor-build workflows, simple application for the development and adaptation, which can be adapted to the configuration settings and options screen real estate to assist adjustment individual workflow and project demands.
WAS AutoCAD Autodesk also announced mobile application, a new application for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Mobile application allows users WS AutoCAD AutoCAD AutoCAD edit and share files on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch so they can have real-time collaboration, even when they’re traveling. This application will be available worldwide in late October through Apple’s App Store.
