Office 2011 for Mac is available October 26

Microsoft announced that Office 2011 for Mac will be available on 26 October. Pre-orders alone can be done from now on Amazon.com.

There are several options available at Amazon. A single license of Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Student 2011 will be sold USD119.99, while the Home and Student 2011 with three licenses will cost USD49.99.

While Office 2011 for Mac Home and Business will cost USD199, 99 for one license and USD279, 99 to a package of two licenses. There is also a standalone version of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel 2011 for USD139, 99.

“New package also introduces a new view in Word 2011, Full Screen view which has two views. One is optimized for writing and the other to read and block distractions and focus on putting ideas in other features,” said Microsoft in a statement, as reported by by AFP on Wednesday (29/09/2010).

Microsoft also said that improving the performance of priority in the suite. “We hope that you will see this software comes with the launch speed of each application and overall speed of all applications,” he added.
