playbook Price PlaybookYesterday was officially CEO of Research in Motion Mike Lazardis announced the existence of tablets called Playbook. Though it was exhibited at the event Developer Conference Day, but it is not known what price would be priced.

Observers began milling speculate on what price will be offered by the Canadian company. One of them is John Jackson, an analyst at Insight CSS said it may cost Playbook production will reach approximately USD300 to USD350.

Quoted by Gizmodo, Wednesday (9/29/2010), if the speculation is true then it is probable that RIM will sell Playbook with prices ranging from USD400 to USD450.


Jackson once again confirms this is just speculation and could be changed. Because according to him, must offer competitive Playbook for Facebook to compete with Apple iPad.

RIM’s own OS on the tablet was buried as the BlackBerry Tablet OS, which is the result of development company called QNX, who recently acquired by RIM some time ago. BlackBerry Tablet OS that will offer full OpenGL and next POSIX support web standards like HTML5.

Then from the inside, Playbook comes with 7-inch screen, plus resolution of 1024 x 600 multitouch capacitive. A91GHz Cortex processor based dual-core CPUs, by RIM as a tablet called it the fastest ever. Then capacity reaching 1GB of RAM, with additional cameras at the front of a 3-megapixel resolution, and the back of a 5 megapixel camera. Predictably, Playbook capable of conducting a video conference.
