Sony Ericsson Sony Ericsson say Goodbye to SymbianOne of Sony Ericsson mobile phone vendors have been unceremoniously will reduce their smartphone line-up based on Symbian operating system starting next year.

“We have no current plans to develop new products to the standard Symbian Foundation or its operating system,” said company spokesman Aldo Liguor Bloomberg in an official statement., Which was launched by TG Daily, Saturday (25/09/2010).

However, Liguor also stressed that does not mean that Google Android is going to be the exclusive operating system for its product, but rather to emphasize that these platforms would continue to be important for Sony Ericsson.

Seeing the fact that practitioners of OS News Thom Holwerda assess the future of Symbian is now clear enough uncertainty and provide little threat to other operating systems market.

“Symbian remains the world’s most popular operating system, but this was mainly due to Nokia’s capabilities to make good hardware at affordable prices,” he said.

“Remember, other phone manufacturers are throwing Symbian, like Motorla and Samsung, both of which focus on Android, too,” adds Holwerda.

Marin Perez from IntoMobile expressed the same sentiment.

“It seems that Sony Ericsson will make a big bet on Android We’ve heard strong rumors that the company eventually will make the PlayStation Phone with Android 3.0,” he said.
