Still remember the device is able to change the iPod Touch to iPhone? Yes, it turns out its creator is a brother and sister from China named Pan Pan Lei and Young. Not to be called a copycat, they’d rather be considered inventor.
The device they developed called Apple Peel 520, is a device attached to the iPod Touch as protective but have a connector, an extension of the battery and SIM card slot. Thus, the iPod Touch can also function as the iPhone that allows users to call and send SMS.
“We came up with new innovations,” said Pan Lei. The 25-year-old boy took his sister Pan Young’s two years younger than she is an expert software for creating Apple Peel.
“The brothers who created the Apple Peel may have made a long list about how to interfere with Steve Jobs,” jokes Jonathan Hudis as the spokesperson for Apple Hong Kong and Chairman of the American Bar Association’s Trademarks and Unfair Competition Division.
“I can not see if Apple allow this to continue, especially if their products are sold in the United States,” he added.
Apple reportedly sold more than 220 million iPods since it was first released in 2001. While the iPhone is released in 2007 that has a level of sales large enough to trigger a lot of parties to create a replica.
Quoted Twitteling from SF Gate, Tuesday (28/09/2010), Hudis asserted that any device that destroyed the original Apple will not get warranty support. Apple knows about Apple Peel but it did not comment further.
