The concept of this game is very simple. In classic karaoke style, the user selects a song to fill her vocals, match words and tone as a video-clip original songs played as background. “We want everyone to have the opportunity to rapping songs of their favorite hip-hop, and rapping the best songs from reputable producers and do a ‘battle’ with people from all over the world,” said Kevin Liles , president of Def Jam Enterprises.

“This game is a first-game video that can capture the true essence of hip-hop itself,” added Steinberg.

The developer of this game refuses to say how the funds are spent to develop this game and also their sales targets.

‘Def Jam Rapstar’ developed by 4mm and Def Jam Interactive Games by Konami distribution channels. The game is priced around USD59, 99 for the XBox and PS3, USD49, 99 for the Wii. When bundled with a microphone and software, this game will be more expensive than the $ 10 original price.
