Singer / songwriter Elvis Costello, released a new album which will be promoted through a variety of digital methods, including the concert which was broadcast live streaming and social networking sites.

Costello’s latest album, the National Ransom, will come out on 2 November in the U.S. But publication of the album will be starting on October 25, the same day the album launch in the UK. On the same album will be available for full-stream for a full week on the site ColbertNation.com. Similarly, as quoted by Mashable, Wednesday.


On 1 November, Costello will perform with his band at The Greene Sugarcanes Space, New York. The concert will be broadcast live-streamed at eight o’clock in WNYC.org, with a little help from Ustream. Four songs from Costello concert at The Greene Space will be broadcast on The Leonard Lopate Show two days after the streaming on the internet.

In addition, Elvis Costello will also be recording his performance in the studio for AOL Sessions online broadcast. On the day the album was released, Costello also will perform a concert to be filmed for the PBS Live from the Artists Den. Costello will also give you some free tickets for this concert by Foursquare.

Previously Elvis Costello also has a Twitter account and Facebook page. As an older artist, it seems that Costello did not hesitate in using digital technologies to promote his new album.
