Google Places recently introduced the Place Search function that adds the location to a database search sites owned by Google, which numbered approximately 50 million locations.
Place Search function as the search for something like a museum or restaurant will return a list of local Page Place that match the search-query. Similarly, as quoted by Mashable, Thursday.
The process of collecting the list to collect all related links, and also includes informative text pieces and some reviews from Google, Yelp, and others.
“We have made these results possible because of developments in technology to better understand the locations. With the Place Search, we dynamically
connecting millions of websites with more than 50 million locations in the world. We can automatically recognize when the sites talked about the location, even when they do not provide detailed address and also use different names for these locations, “explained Jackie Bavaro, Product Manager of Place Search.
This technology is able to perform searches for local information and search based on location.
Place Search, it is interesting for several reasons, but most importantly, Google searches are now becoming more effective in serving the collection of local business listings.
Place the database is growing as mobile applications are more and more to offer more local information. Yelp, Google and Foursquare each has its own database of locations. So now there SimpleGeo and GeoAPI, which opened their location database to the developers who want to build features on top of them.
Google will launch, the Place Search in more than 40 languages for a few days ahead.
