The world’s largest software company, Microsoft bought the company and service performance monitoring application called AVIcode.
“Purchasing this AVIcode will indirectly help us provide information about how the performance and quality of an application that we launched,” said Microsoft Corporate VP, Brad Anderson, as quoted by Yahoo News, Thursday (07/10/2010).
Added Anderson, AVIcode software is now integrated into multiple Microsoft products and services like Xbox Live, the online video game service made by the software company.
“This acquisition will indirectly provide consumers access to capabilities that help them maintain data center applications and services that exist,” said Anderson.
AVIcode CEO Mike Curreri said if his company and Microsoft will share the same vision about the evolution of management and monitoring application performance.
“With the technology we have, thousands of users around the world can reduce the time required to diagnose and solve application problems significantly,” said Curreri which also said it would continue to serve their existing customers though have been acquired.
