France cellular operator Mobile (SFR) appears to have plans to spend Palm Pre 2 Monday, posting the basic specs and some pictures, describe the device as a “flat” and “more refined” than the original.
Follow-up with last year’s Palm ambitious but not-quite successful with the products Pre, Pre 2 Rumored that Palm will have a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. That’s a big boost over the 600 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM of its predecessor, and it is competitive with other top smartphones on the market today, including the iPhone 4 and Droid 2. According to SFR, this increase in the specification will improve loading times and allows for smoother multitasking.
SFR also claimed Pre will feature a notification when a wall post on Facebook and other social media and it was not by e-mail. These are interesting features to keep constantly connected, but it is not too revolutionary.
Do not worry, though, there are many more we do not know about Pre – including price and availability.
Palm once prominent in the mobile market before, but after experiencing financial difficulties ultimately acquired by HP, which has since promised more devices running WebOS next year. Apparently Pre 2 will run with WebOS 2.0, but we’re not sure what features will appear.
