Surveys from research firm Strategy Analytics Inc. revealed, at this moment there are only 8 percent to 10 percent of consumers who are interested in watching television broadcasts a three-dimensional (3D). This survey confirms, 3D television is not convenient to use as a source of daily information.

A separate survey conducted Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and The Nielsen Co. to consumers who had tried to reveal the 3D television as well, as much as 57 percent of respondents recognize the greatness of 3D television picture quality.

With television viewing 3D, the respondents claimed to be a part of the on-screen action. However, the same survey also reveals, as much as 57 percent of respondents do not like wearing 3D glasses. The reason, respondents can not do other activities, except for watching television while wearing 3D glasses. Therefore, these respondents claimed not to be interested to purchase 3D television.

“The discovery is important because hundreds of respondents who had tried his own involvement 3D television. From this survey, revealed that consumers really frustrated with 3D glasses,” said President & Chief Executive Officer of CTAM Char Beales.

Glasses indeed become one of the main problems 3D television. Research firm iSuppli Corp. assess, spectacles become one of the obstacles adoption 3D television because television viewing while wearing glasses is very uncomfortable.
