Nearly 40 percent of cellphone users were not happy with most of their applications, according to a survey conducted by Harris Interactive.
The poll of 781 adults who use the application found that 38 percent of respondents did not like the application, even from their favorite brands. A third said they would complain about a special application to their friends.
“We have seen now that as companies rush in carrying out their mobile strategies, they are really sick and did not help their brand,” said CEO Rebecca Harris Intarctive Flavin, told PC World.
Meanwhile, most users purchase more applications based on the recommendations of the users on brand recognition. As many as 57 percent of survey respondents said they would recommend an application for a positive experience. While three out of ten said they would download an application based on the recommendations.
Three-quarters of consumers think an application should be easy to use and with the same number said that the application should do what they need to do: one wonders exactly what the other 25 percent are looking for in an application.
“The problem we’re faced with is that organizations are designing without keeping their customers and business needs in mind,” said Flavin.
Approximately13 percent of people say they avoid downloading applications from a particular company or organization because of previous bad experiences with other applications from the same brand.
