Confidence owner of NewsCorp, Rupert Murdoch, who assumes the iPad as the media seems pretty strong future. The company also makes digital newspaper called The Daily.
The project which reportedly has been developed in the next few months was finally declared ready to be thrown to the public. During this NewsCorp would prefer not to hype and trying to make a big surprise with this project.
Launched by the Straits Times, Murdoch said this when asked by local media about the ‘interesting project’ which is being kept secret. 79-year-old man was instantly answered that they are developing a news media that can only be viewed on Apple’s touch-screen device, the iPad. Then Murdoch said the word ‘The Daily’.
According to the staff of NewsCorp, currently The Daily is currently under development. Predicted that the news media for the iPad will be launched to the public before the end of the year.
Some people who will be involved in the editorial of The Daily most are the ones Murdoch. For example, Sasha Frere-Jones, music critic at The New Yorker magazine that will be a cultural editor at The Daily. In addition, Jesse Angelo which is known as the Executive Editor at New York Post, and Richard Johnson, former editor of the gossip pages of the New York Post, and Greg Clayman who had served as head of the digital division of Viacom. All three would later occupy an important position for The Daily operational duties.
Forbes magazine predicts if the project would require approximately 150 staff. NewsCorp alone has budgeted approximately $ 30 million to fund the first year of the emergence of The Daily.
