This location-based services become popular, especially in the United States (U.S.) as increased use of smartphones, like the BlackBerry and the iPhone. Geomium founder, Michael Ferguson believes his company’s first local information wed site features real-time.

“We were amazed at the response at the launch in London, many are asking when the application is available in our town?” said Ferguson.

Unlike other location-based services, users can set their privacy Geomium when registering.

So far, about 75% of users Geomium active, choose an open profile. “Privacy is very important for location-based services and we want to give it free to choose almost at our users,” said Ferguson.
