Controller game made by Microsoft, Kinect was not only able to be used for Xbox 360 gaming consoles. But Kinect also be used for other platforms such as Personal Computer (PC) or possibly even be used for any other console.

Microsoft designed the device is indeed special for the Xbox 360. Kinect using a camera to capture the player’s body movements, and Kinect expected to transform the game controllers like joysticks that have dominated the video game for decades.

But, a hacker could break into Kinect and use it to replace the function of a Mouse on PC desktops and notebooks. In the Youtube video that was launched CNN, Kinect motion control technology can be used to control the computer interface, rather than just a game.

“This technology could be applied to classes, or in a field that requires computing motion control. Kinect can be used to change the way people interact with technology and create an alternative to the keyboard and mouse set-up is very common,” Hacker said it.

“I think this could be very good for many projects, especially the world of robotics,” said Hacker.

However, Microsoft denied that Kinect can be broken and used for other devices.

“Kinect for the Xbox 360 can not be hacked in any way. The software and hardware that are part of Kinect for the Xbox 360 can not be changed,” Microsoft wrote in his statement.

“What has happened is someone has created a driver that allows other devices. The creation of these drivers, and use of false Kinect for Xbox 360 with other devices is not supported. We strongly encourage customers to use Kinect for the original Xbox 360 to get the best experience,” said Microsoft
