Reason Google ejecting H.264 the Chrome browser

Recently Google did a pretty amazing action with H.264 support ejecting the Chrome browser. In fact, the video codec used by many video sharing sites, eg YouTube.

However such a move is not without reason, through its official blog Google claims it is part of their strategy to increase innovation and a focus on investment undertaken. It is quoted from Fiercecio.

In addition to ejecting H.264, as product manager Mike Jazayeri Google also disclosed their plans to further strengthen WebM. WebM is a video codec from On2 Technologies Google acquired with a value of USD 124.6 million, and planned will be one of the standard video on YouTube.

Google Browser Chrome continues to show strength. Based on statistical data collected by Net Applications, at the close of 2010 Chrome market share has reached 9.98%.
