Five festivals draw in Paraguay

Many foreign tourists visiting this country only to witness a variety of interesting festivals in February and July. The following festivals in Paraguay that contain elements of religious and social history:

1. San Blas Fiestas

In February it is time for the carnival Nirgen de la Candelaria in Puno the best. A variety of polka dances and other entertainment are also a nationally celebrated around December 2 to 14 February in every major city of Paraguay.

2. Santa Semanta

This is one of the most popular religious festivals in Paraguay in March. But that is considered sacred is Sunday, where the Christians there also conduct religious rituals.

3. Fiesta de San Juan

Paraguay’s largest festival is the Festival de San Juan is also known as the Festival of San Juan. This festival is usually celebrated on June 24, at almost all major cities Paraguay.

4. Festival del Nanduti

Other interesting festivals in Paraguay is the Festival del Nanduti. Every July, usually the visitors can shop at traditional markets selling various crafts and other industrial products.

5. La Virgen de la Mercad

For this celebration is usually held in September at the traditional center of Puno. La Virgen de la Mercad also contains the most important religious significance for Paraguay.
