LG seems to be less friendly with Sony. Evidence, South Korean electronics giant had asked the International Trade Commission (ITC) to block all sales of the PlayStation 3 and Sony Bravia HDTV in the United States.
This was done because the LG claims that Sony had violated the patent by using some of their technology, among which is the product Sony Bravia HDTV and Blu-Ray player that is used by the PlayStation 3.
“Patents who claimed LG is the recipient of signal processing and high definition broadcasts, as well as technologies that use multiple data streams on a Blu-Ray PlayStation 3,” as quoted by Bloomberg.
In addition to bringing this matter to the ITC, LG also visited the California state court with two complaints to talk about compensation for their losses.
