A device developed by scientists in Australia and was dubbed as a ‘thinking cap’, is claimed to increase brainpower and creativity.
Quoted from AFP, with two-conductor device that is applied to the head using a rubber belt is a low-voltage electrical flow to the brain.
“The power to the brain increases the brain’s performance. This is evident from the results of significant work on simple arithmetic tests done by the participants after using the hat,” claims Allan Snyder represent his team from Sydney’s Centre for the Mind.
In a test that involved 60 participants, the results showed that participants use thinking caps three times more proficient in working on arithmetic tests than those who do not use it.
Mentioned Snyder, thinking caps works by pressing the left side of the brain associated with learning and stimulate the right side of the brain associated with creative ability.
“This device is not used when studying or helping memory, but to help patients who have lost their creativity due to an accident that damaged the left side of their brain,” he said.
