Mortal-Kombat
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) did not receive the related decisions of Australia’s rating to block the game Mortal Kombat. They fight back!
“After some consideration, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment decided to make an appeal to the Australian Classification Review Board (rating agencies in question-ed.) RC’s decision to reject the alias that has been dropped Classification refused to Mortal Kombat,” said WBIE.
Previously, the popular game scuffle had indeed dropped the RC status by rating agencies of Australia, which means the game should not be sold in the country of kangaroos.
Quoted from GameSpot, the issue of content that is too cruel to be the reason the Australian government to ban the circulation of Mortal Kombat. As the scene cuts body parts, beheading and ripping the stomach.
Until the game look very detailed and realistic, and the number of corpses or victims of homicide in the game play is so excuse the Australian Classification Review Board to prohibit it.
But Warner Bros does not necessarily accept this decision. They believe in violent content in Mortal Kombat is still reasonable and comparable to games like bik evidence that had already been circulating in Australia.
Mortal Kombat is actually not the first game from Warner Bros. that Australia rejected. In 2009, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origins also been a victim because of the ban is considered too extreme.
