A number of ophthalmologists in the United States denied that Nintendo 3DS warning could jeopardize eyesight of children under the age of six years.
On the contrary, they even claimed, 3DS can help detect vision problems in children early. It is quoted from Central Tech.
“The device could be a shipment 3DS God to find out if there are children under the age of six in need of vision therapy,” explained Dr. Michael Duenas as the representative of the American Optometric Association.

As with any DS, Nintendo 3DS has two screens. Top of the screen can show three-dimensional image while the user is wearing special glasses.
According to Duenas, if a child can not see three-dimensional effect in 3DS, could be he has vision problems like amblyopia (abnormalities in one eye), or other problems that can cause reading difficulties. Duenas adds, children who felt dizzy after playing games on the device must also be immediately checked 3DS.
