Nokia-Tablet
Nokia has been impressed not interested in plunging into a tablet computer market. But in fact they ever seriously consider making the touch screen-based computer. The proof, there is a tablet product registration by Nokia.
Yes, in 2010, the Finnish mobile phone vendor is known to register the patent to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. From the sketch drawing, the tablet form looks similar to the Nokia N8, it’s just bigger.
Quoted from CNET, the picture shows a variety of ports in the whole body of tablets. But no detailed technical specifications or operating system being operated.
Is this a sign of Nokia will launch a tablet? Looks like not being related to several factors. For example, the patent was registered last year when Nokia was still considering MeeGo as the OS for the tablet. Yet today, MeeGo seems to have not count Nokia after they turned into the Windows Phone 7.
Nokia officials recently also confirmed, there is no plan to launch the Nokia tablet in the roadmap. So apparently, the patent is not yet developed into a product ready for the market.
