Study: Apple’s fastest mobile browser

Mad because browsing activities on mobile devices is quite long? Try using the iPad or iPhone. These suggestions are submitted mobile browser research firm Gomez.

In the study quoted by PC World, Gomez claims Apple’s Safari browser for mobile version is the fastest among all mobile browsers. Instead, the browser on the BlackBerry handset is the slowest.

Using a variety of popular mobile devices, Gomez found that iPad embedded in it, of course, Safari, on average, are able to access a page within 8.4 seconds. iPhone was second with an average speed of 19.7 seconds, followed next with 36.5 seconds and Blackberry Android 61 seconds.


Gomez also analyzes the page loading time, ie how long the browser to load all items on the page. Again, the order does not change, iPad ranks first with 6.6 seconds loading time. Lagging behind the iPhone with an average time of 15.7 seconds, 28.2 seconds followed by Android and BlackBerry 43.8 seconds.
