Laptop
Buying used items can be a tormenting experience though, we are given the opportunity to review it before the transaction price. But do not worry, we certainly can monitor it with this simple step.
Thoughts often turn negative when dealing with used goods sellers. For example, the seller of the laptop. Sometimes occurred in the mind whether the specifications of the vendor says is true?. Are all the ports to function without problems?. There are some common things to consider before buying. Try the following steps before we determine the laptops to be purchased:
Step One, Check physically.
We can not expect the notebook used in new condition with no scratches. Like the used car, keep in mind some form of damage that indicates the inside of a dilapidated laptop. We may be able to ignore the signs or faint stain, but try to look carefully if there is something that is open or not functioning smoothly in the following sections:
Although none of the above characteristics we can find, still no guarantee that the laptop was not severe damage. Maybe just repaired the view outside to attract customers.
Step Two, Ask warranty status.
Ideally there is a laptop that sold the warranty period. If it is yes, ask the warranty card is stamped or the original form. Do not believe the seller saying that the laptop already registered online guarantees, except for business laptops such as Lenovo ThinkPads. If indeed he said so, ask for a printout of his online security status.
If the laptop does not have a guarantee, expressly asked for assurance from the seller (at least for seven days), then record the complete personal data, not limited only cell phone number. If he refuses, leave your laptop our coveted it.
Third Step, Laptop Configuration Check.
If you buy a PC online, printout description and follow the steps below to make sure we get what we pay.
The four steps, Make sure Ports and Charges function.
USB Ports are the most frequently used laptop, then that part is also the most easily damaged. Bring a USB Flashdrive when it comes to the seller, check their respective ports are still functioning or not. USB stick a little shake to make sure our ports are not loose.
If you have, take the card Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) to check other ports. PCMCIA card is a media card with insert sim card to connect to the Internet via GSM or CDMA frequency on a PC laptop. Finally plug the adapter cable to make sure that the battery can be in charge.
Batteries are most vulnerable and deteriorated about a year old. So do not be too upset about the condition of the battery unless the buyer promises a new battery. So, we can download the freeware like BatteryCare for windows, determine rotation and charge capacity. For Macs, click the Applications-Utilities-Systems can Profiler for more information about the lifetime of the battery.
Step Five, Dead Pixel LCD Watch.
The problem with the LCD panel appears, when the production process, some units fired with dead or stuck pixels. Dead pixel shape itself in the form of black dots, if pixel dead-end lit like a bright spot and did not change until the laptop died.
There are freeware applications that are sold in the market such as Pixel Tester. Freeware image shows a series of objects to check the dead pixel or a dead end. But there is a simple way, left-click on the desktop and select Properties.
First, change the background to black (after missing all the icons on the desktop) to search for pixels stuck. Then change the desktop background to white for the dead pixel test.
Most of the collateral is not dead or stuck pixel issues. So decide if we are to live with a laptop problem or not before purchasing it.
