Since Mac OS X Lion is still in early beta stage, it is recommended to install it on a different hard disk partition. For the process that is required is a USB external hard disk or Firewire which still has about 30GB of free space. Here are the steps.
Before you begin you must have Mac OS X DMG installer Lion can install the beta for Mac OS X Lion. You can get from various places, or directly from Apple just have to pay $ 99 annual fee as a developer to gain access to Mac OS X Lion.
Partition Hard Disk
Your hard drive does not need to completely empty, there is still significant around 30GB’s.
Open Disk Utility, then select the hard disk on the left, then create two partitions: 1. For Mac OS X Lion, I gave it 30GB of space, I give it a name For Lion. 2. Place to accommodate the installer Mac OS X Lion 10GB, I give the name of the Installer.
Once partitioned, make sure both of them have a format of Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

What happened here is the installer can make a bootable partition to Mac OS X installer Once completed, the installer will partition the name change into Mac OS X Install ESD.
Boot into partition Installer
Now, reboot your Mac, before any votes BWOONG! press the Option key, then you can choose to be on the boot hard drive. Of course, select the Install Mac OS X partition ESD.
Install Mac OS X Lion.
Follow the installation steps, make sure you select the right partition for Mac OS X Lion, Snow Leopard will ever happen to you.
