The growth of smart phones in the global market with a quick shot, even numbers going streaking across several years to come.

Look at the survey research and consulting institute Coda estimates that smart phone sales worldwide will reach 2.5 billion from 2010 to 2015.

These results also confirm previous surveys that smart phone sales will grow by 24 percent by the end of this period.

According to market research firm GfK Asia, one of 10 mobile phones purchased by consumers in Southeast Asia and East Asia in the last quarter (January to March 2010) is a smart phone.

Within one year, combined sales of smart phones in the two regions are two-fold jump, from 16.2 percent in the first quarter of 2009 to more than 36.6 percent in the same period next year.

GfK Asia Reports of this show, the number of smart phones purchased by consumers in East Asia and Southeast Asia in the last quarter rose respectively 68.6 percent and 31.4 percent compared with the previous quarter.
