UberMedia, a company that has several applications of Twitter, reportedly plans to launch its own website to compete with social networking giant.
According to CNN, this service will be designed to address common problems of people with Twitter. For example, it may eliminate the restriction of characters that only 140 characters or make a network more accessible to newcomers are confused with the standard UI.
Desire UberSocial long rivalry adds Twitter, Twitter also previously rivaled by FriendFeed and Google Buzz. Currently they claim to approximately 200 million registered users in the microblogging service.
Last week, Twitter has released statistics stating that Twitter users are now sending 155 million tweets per day, up 282 percent compared to last year.
However, social networking sites continue to fend off third-party developers, because it recently sent a memo down the creation of a standard client application.
Twitter even ask programmers for software code that presents data in new and interesting ways than the traditional list format seen on Twitter.com.
UberMedia and Twitter have a relationship that is not harmonious, and even Twitter to close three of the applications UberMedia in February on the grounds they had violated company policy.
Twitter also asked UberMedia to change the names of two applications: web becomes UberSocial. Perhaps the proposed Twitter competitors really can decide to launch a new service that has been difficult if the relationship continues to deteriorate.
However, the marketing chief Steve Chadima UberMedia still ‘silent’ about this potential plan, and he just said:
“Our main desire is to continue to innovate on the platform Twitter and bring more users and usage to Twitter,” he explained.
