Issues that mention iPhone secretly record the movements of users continues to grow and reap the many questions the public. Apple CEO Steve Jobs is said to speak out to clarify the issue.
Was first reported by MacRumors, a reader sent an email to Steve Jobs asked for clarification on whether or not the issue and explanation about the files ‘consolidated.db’ that are embedded in the iOS.
“Can you explain the importance of a location tracking device embedded in the iPhone? It’s scary to know that my location details to be recorded all the time. Maybe you can explain this to me. Ensure that the iPhone does not track my location details,” the footage of the reader mail MacRumors loaded.
The responses Jobs, mentioned MacRumors, is to clear up false information being circulated widely.
“We do not track anyone. The information did not circulate properly. This information seems to be referring to reports that Apple is actually gathering the data stored on the phone, not the existence of a mobile location of the log itself,” said Jobs email on behalf of the reader to answer questions.
Excerpted from Mashable, MacRumors reports are added, it is important to understand that the existence of a file or local database does not mean that same information can be viewed anyone without access to mobile phones or computers are physically, where mobile phones have been backed up.
However clarification is yet to be published officially by Apple. Also not known whether the answer to that email really came from Steve Jobs.
