Firefox 4.0 release only two months and now Mozilla has set up version 5.0. Still in beta, Firefox 5.0 can be used on Mac, Windows and Linux PCs.

As new versions of software, Firefox 5.0 Beta is also bringing stability improvements and performance improvements from previous versions. Also, added support for new CSS animation standards. Other features:

  • Additional support for CSS Animations
  • Additional support for switching channels Firefox development
  • The Do-Not-Track header preference has been moved in order to find
  • Improved canvas, JavaScript, memory, and networking performance
  • Improved support for HTML5 standards, XHR, MathML, SMIL, and canvas
  • Improved spell checking for Some locales
  • Improved integration desktop environment for Linux users

And most importantly this Beta version 5.0 allows users to switch quickly between Aurora, Beta and Stable channels. This can be done directly from the About menu in Firefox to ‘test features at Various levels of development, quality and polish.”


There is no visible change in the interface but can seemingly speed and memory Optimizations that much better. You can download to try out Firefox 5.0 beta here.
