Symantec has launched Norton Mobile Security and pledged to provide special security software for Android devices. This new security application requires Android 2.x up and at least with a capacity of 1.8 MB. Although still available for free in beta ririskiky, security applications are already present practical features that are expected by many users.

This application will provide active protection on viruses and malware with an extended option to scan the SD memory card automatically. To protect the privacy and personal information, the application has anti-phishing when a user is online, make calls and text blocking. Norton Mobile Security also provides anti-theft feature. With this application Android users to discover the location of their cell phone from a remote, locked it and even delete sensitive data in it. These security measures would be very useful when the phone is lost or stolen.

In line with Norton Mobile Security, Symantec also offers a separate application called Norton Connect. Applications are also still in beta development is a complementary program that allows users to access Norton 360 and Norton Online Backup. With this users can take advantage of the computing-based services through their mobile devices. Norton Connect can make a back up and share files more easily, and the download process more secure for users of Android.
