Ever since Apple revealed the existence in the iOS 5 iMessage, since it too much to predict whether iMessage later integrated with the Mac. Some even call iMessage a new version of iChat.
iMessage in iOS provides many new functions including synchronization and integration Message app. With the integration iCloud which will available in OS X Lion, it is possible Apple will release a special iMessage applications for the Mac in the Mac App Store. This becomes possible since iCloud can be used for all iDevices. As with FaceTime, iMessage application for the Mac could have sold for $ 0.99 and pre-installed by default in the system.
An observer iOS named Jan-Michael Cart reveal an idea about iMessage in OS X Lion. Messaging protocol is likely to use desktop application which is also equipped with a special real-time notifications, appears in the Dock when there are new incoming messages and will also have a toolbar that functions like Mail to make new message or search for messages that have been entered.
Can you imagine if iMessage to the Mac using a special desktop applications means that the user can rely on the system integration with the Services. It will allow a user to send messages through iMessage, so if you want to use the FaceTime of contact or Address Book.
The concept is certainly very interesting and could later be proven when iOS 5 release. iMessage itself is now available in iOS 5 beta for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Keep in mind also that the developers find some code strings that exist in the Lion developer preview that indicates that Apple is working on iMessage desktop version to be released late next year.
