Although at this time that you no be able to find z4root on the Android Market (Google has certainly throw icon biggrin How to Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 ), but you still can find it on the internet. However z4root no longer support some version of the Galaxy Tab 7. For that you can do the steps as below.

Ok, before you start rooting please prepare the following equipment:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 7
  • USB Cable
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab drivers
  • SuperOneClick
  • Windows Computer with USB port
  • Android Terminal Emulator (Free on the Android Market)

CAUTION: rooting could endanger the Galaxy Tab and you are responsible for everything that might happen. If not sure I can run it, do not do.

If you are sure, let’s get started:

See Galaxy Tab model that you wear on the back. For example: SPH-P100. After learning the model, please look for the driver on the Samsung support site. If you’ve found the appropriate driver, please download and install on your computer.

Next download, install SuperOneClickv1.7-ShortFuse.zip and extract on desktop.

Before you attach the USB cable, turn on the first Galaxy Tab 7. Go to Settings > Applications > Development and activate the USB debugging. If you already installed the USB cable then the USB debugging can not be activated unless you disconnect the cable. Once active, please plug the USB cable in GTab and computer.

Now open the folder on the desktop SuperOneClick that you have previously installed and run SuperOneClick.exe. You will see a small icon shaped shield. The emergence icon it means you have to run it with admin approval. Double click on the icon and enter the required data.

Now you’re looking for Root button, click and wait.

Next scan appeared several notifications. At this stage appeared a notice that the process is successful rooting. Click YES to test and install applications Superuser. Next you will be asked to reboot GTab prior to root successfully. Please disconnect the USB and reboot.

Done! Gtab 7 has successfully rooted. You can test it using the Terminal Emulator Android (available at the Android Market). Of the $ prompt, type su and press enter. Superuser will tell you to be able to ‘Allow ‘ command. Select Allow and you will get a root (#) prompt! Success! (be careful with what you type!)
