Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 does not support multitouch

Because of the issues associated with the hardware, like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will never support multi-touch features. AndroidAndMe site also tells this story and this seems true.

Sony Ericsson X10 inability to adopt multitouch technology is not only the existence of constraints on the hardware but also software that is used does not support those features. Xperia X10 running the Android operating system 1.6, which does not have an API to support these functions.

Sony Ericsson’s party has said previously that the device will receive updates to the Android 2.1. Because Android 2.1 has the necessary APIs to support multi-touch, but with its hardware limitations, X10 still can not mendukug this feature if done a little hack to it.
