After doing the deepening of the iOS 5, the site 9to5Mac found that Apple plans to open APIs to developers of Face Detection. It appears from what they have found that Apple will use the face detection technique similar to that used in the Photo Booth at the Lion. It will be brought to the iOS and enables developers to create different applications using the same API.
What was delivered 9to5Mac came after they found the API ‘CIFaceFeature’ and ‘CIDetector’ in the latest beta version of iOS 5. 9to5Mac said they found it was ‘top-level API’. CIFaceFeature API can be used by developer to determine the location of a person’s mouth and eyes, while CIDetector API is used when processing the image to detect faces. Developer Librabry Apple’s online has some notes about the new API that can be exploited by developers.
