After numerous leaks and speculation Motorola finally formally announced the DROID 3. This smartphone is a global version of Milestone 3 which has been released in China three weeks ago. In America, Droid 3 will be released using a carrier Verizon. Verizon also has opened up pre-orders for DROID 3 for $459.

DROID 3 is Android Gingerbread 2.3 smartphone with the power on the dual-core processor OMAP4 TI 1GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. Has a 8MP camera, DROID 3 is also equipped with 1.3MP front camera for video calls. The battery supplied is large enough to wear Li-Ion 1540 mAh.


Other features include 3G connectivity both CDMA Rev. A and HSDPA and HSUPA. There is also support Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspots and Bluetooth. Has 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB.

TFT touchscreen that is used is the 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Has a QWERTY keyboard, touch-sensitive controls, multi-touch input method, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and proximity sensor for auto turn-off. The size is 124 x 64 x 13 mm Weight 167 grams with fallow.
