Together with the release OS X Lion, new MacBookAir, new Mac Mini and Thunderbolt Display, Apple also released a major update to Safari. With the update it is now Safari has reached version 5.1.

Earlier this version available to developers for a long time. Safari 5.1 brings a number of core features include support for gestures, Reading List, a new feature for privacy and security, and full-screen browsing.

Reading List allows users to save webpages at a later time and read it at different times with new ways to access it from the sidebar. Settling in Safari 5.1 also includes support HTML5 which now feels better for games that use the Canvas element. There are also new downloads popover, an additional option in the ‘find’ that you use to search within a webpage. Additionally you will find the Internet Account Setup when you log-in to your Google, Yahoo or AOL from a web browser, which features the ability to send data account to Mail, Address Book and iCal in OS X.
