Apple iPad may have become the first market opening, but the ASUS and MSI has prepared a similar device. Jerry Shen from Asus has recently confirmed that they are preparing a new product namely ASUS Eee Pad, Android-based tablet computer.
The plan of this device will make its debut at a press event Computex 2010 in early June, with commercial launch in the third quarter of 2010 (more specifically, the end of July, at least according to the maker of components for such devices). Meanwhile, MSI also are starting to make their tablet device, called Pad M, in the third quarter 2010, although the exact launch time speckle known.
ASUS Eee Pad will use the chipset NVIDIA Tegra, and has features including USB connectivity, integrated webcam, and support Adobe Flash. Shih said the company also “strengthened” the tablets of the industrial design, in response to feedback on the iPad.
The biggest deficiency may be the price. Shih account Pad Eee will come with a price of U.S. $ 479-510, although it appears “after the bundling of telecommunications operators and service”, however., ASUS expects to deliver 300,000 units by the end of the year.
