 Facebook announced a new security systemThe largest social networking site in the world, Facebook announced a new security system to prevent identity theft or “shadowing”.

“We worked consistently to protect Facebook users and ensure that you store the information securely,” said Facebook software engineer, Popov Lev.

He explained that Facebook has now have the tools and systems designed to keep you from people suspected to utilize existing accounts and information in your Facebook account.


One of the security system that will be done, obviously Popov, will be difficult to access your Facebook account if you do not use the device normally used to activate your account. For example, if you are used to update the status of a smart phone, then suddenly you try to change the status via a laptop or an unknown device Facebook security system before, then the safety system on Facebook will ask for confirmation for the safety of your account.

Various confirmation as requested by your birth date, ask your friends to recognize you and answering a security question.

“So just anyone can enter your account if you do not use the usual tools you use,” said Popov. “This is designed to facilitate you and make people who want to do evil.”
