Last week RIM announced the Playbook 2.0 Developer Preview, which is intended for application developers so they could test Android applications on Android the new Player 2.0 is used in the Playbook.
RIM plans Playbook 2.0 will be given to the public in February 2012. For now, Playbook 2.0 Developer Preview does not have support for fuel and an email client such as expected all the BlackBerry users Playbook. But that does not mean RIM will not make progress in the development of the newest OS tablet. QNX Tablet OS for the BlackBerry Playbook has even experienced a lot of progress in harnessing the Android support compared to what was leaked on the internet some time ago.
Now, when developers register Playbook unique PIN to RIM developer site then it will earn a tablet in which OTA updates Player includes Android support. A number of improvements in the Playbook 2.0 include minor changes in skin appearance and look more aesthetically pleasing.
Later, developers may try an Android application that they have because the BlackBerry Playbook with Android Player has the ability to install Android applications. The application will be placed in the BlackBerry App World and later the user can easily download and install Android apps as you would like to install a BlackBerry’s original application.
Android is expected that all applications can run with Android Player in the BlackBerry Playbook. But please note that the same practice with Android NDK which uses C and C++ libraries will not work. That is, only applications that are made specifically for Gingerbread Android Dalvik VM 2.3.x with implementations that can run on the BlackBerry Playbook 2.0.
While developers are still testing their applications on the BlackBerry Playbook Android 2.0, now you can be sure in February 2012 there will be many applications for your Playbook ready download on App World. Wait, there are only a few months…
