Here is the information, specifications and arrangements made at the Film Robino test.
This is is a “fair test” of the iPhone 4S and Canon 5D MK II. I created a small rig that allows me to shoot both cameras at the same time in side-by-side. All scenes synchronized together, so you can pause and examine the frame. Exposure, shutter speed, frame rate and picture styles are matched as closely as possible between the two cameras.
This test shows that the smaller F2.4 lens and the sensor on the iPhone is pretty good. Even got a little depth of field. To be fair I match the 5D exposure to the iPhone so there is no “Cinestyle” / 24p.
